Shipping Policy
Regardless of what carrier we use for your order, all shipments are fully insured. Because we pack our shipments carefully damage is rare. But if yours arrives damaged, let me know right away so you can file a claim with the carrier. They will pay for replacement or repair. Keep all the original packaging, their agent will want to see it.
Our primary delivery service for continental USA deliveries of small furniture items is United Parcel Service (UPS) Ground. This service gets most packages to their destination in 3 to 5 days.
For truck freight you need to be aware of the following:
1. Residential and Similar means that delivery will be made to a non-commercial location. If you can arrange delivery to a commercial building that has a loading dock and full-time receiving department, then this fee does not apply. Anything else, including schools, and office buildings, falls under a Residential and Similar delivery.
2. Removing the crated furniture from the truck is your responsibility. The driver will move it to the end of the truck, it's up to you to get it off. If the item is too large or heavy for you to lift down, either have extra help on hand for the delivery or order a lift gate equipped truck. This elevator platform will lower a large heavy crate gently to the ground. It's still your responsibility to get it off the lift gate and into your home.
Whether we make the arrangements or you do, be sure to use caution when opening the crate and inspect for damage before the driver leaves.
If you live locally, we may be able to deliver your item to you.
If you prefer to come pick it up yourself, you are welcome to do so. We will call or e-mail you to arrange a day and time once your item is finished.
